Mo's New Sister, Deija

Today I went and I picked up a german shepard/hound mix, named Deija, across town. What an awesome previous owners she had! We will defitenly keep in touch with them. We learned she knows how to sit, shake and "puppy play bite". Besides that Mo is doing good for the first day. He reacting like he wanted to play ASAP once she came outside. She wasn't sure. First time she enter that house door, she went sooo soo slow, walked slow to the ground. She wasn't sure? We had to drag her outside, we thought she was going potty on the floor, but wasn't. uh oh! After her interaction with Mo, wasn't sure, they were racing each other around after 30minutes. Mo tryes to be the man and hump her..... but there fixed. thankgoodness for vets! She immedialtly turns over on her back and eiether wacks him or nips him. (its took her a few times to know what to do) He slaps her as well so its okay.....i guess, its play. Enjoy the pictures!

Hiking with Mo

Hiking with Mo was pretty awesome for the first time at red rock canyon. We love to go hiking and just go happens there was a little snow on our trail. He got to experience walking, smelling and touching the ice. We got to a few pictures on it. He had to smell very inch of it when we came across one in the beginning of experiencing it. He did very well when another dog came by. He did want to play with them but it was about hiking. Next week there will be a park day for him. He loves to see doggie friends.

He hurt his Mom by accident

I went outside to see Mo. He got all his jumping in, as so i thought he did. I did the 'lift up your knee'. And went along and got the rack. Rack up up his poo. I was near the wall and the corner of my eye i was Mo came along, and did'nt think Mo would "jump", he did, I fell to the wall and scrapped my elbow and wrist. I told him he was a brat and he didnt look at him for 3 min. I forgave him because he was a puppy still. I went and got the ball and we played ball with the bell in it.

Vet Visit

I took Mo to the vet for the first time. We decided to use up his free visit they gave us when we adopted him. He is healthy with the exception of sensitve skin and depree in his ears. (he likes to scratch his ears) So i guess we are cleaning his ears until clean. He hates the temp. butt check. other than that was okay. He whined a little. no other dogs was there in the vet hospital. the vet man was very nice other than he pulled my dogs tailed because Mo didnt like the temp. thing in his butt. he never did get whole temp but it was in normal range he said. he says they say ridgeback in him, no idea what the other half is. after the visit we took him to barkin basin park off of teneya and alexander. and the owner who had 2 dobbies friend had a ridgeback that was 130lbs. Oh Mo weighed 61lbs. which is good!

Lets Talk Dog Park

I love to take My Mo Baby to the dog park! But only a few times a week. If not once a week. I walk him there or if i get lucky I get a ride. I go to shadow ridge park, Its close. The first time we attended he growled a little and it wasn't nice..... first time. Next time was good and ever since he has been great! Rolling in the grass, running with dogs. Although no dogs can't keep up with him. I think one of his buds come close, a pincher. He is a great dog although he does not get min. chiwahaha, he goes crazy! He doesnt bark or anything he just smells them and wants to play with them, but they get scraced to Mo, because of his size. Haha!
I keep wanting to meet other rhodys of my kind of dog, so hope maybe one day?

Halloween...looking forward to 'strutt your mutt'

Lately Mo is just the cutest thing ever! Loves his belly rubs at night and his ears too. Dog parks is his absolute favorite. At first walking on a leash was hard. He pull 10feet ahead of me, oh no! Need a trainer for that one. 2 months ago I found a trainer for 35 dollars that day for 2hours, w house stuff, leash etc. Was very good. Next weekend Mo, I and Grams will be going to strutt your mutt, he will not be entering in anything but he will be hanging out. what a hyper dog he is but so sweet!

Picking Mo Out AKA Mocha

It all started when I "Heidi" wanted at dog. We first went to Petco and a Petsmart over by sunset station and the Petsmart lady said that all the dogs are over at lake mead and rainbow. And the location we were at just had cats. Not that I don't love cats but I husband is allergic, well so am I too. Had them my whole life. So we headed over to that location lake mead and rainbow. We arrived and wow there so many dogs. We agreed to get a dog not a puppy because most likely it was going to be most easier on the house training part. I was looking at Coco at Lab that was brown 6month old girl and my husband was looking at Mo aka Mocha (we renamed him to Mo). Mo was just lying there in his cage. And a couple was talking to husband and saying that they have his brother, they adopted him and also that they were going to take Mo but couldnt because 3dogs would be too much (they had another dog already) A lady came by and asked us if were too interested in seeing him and I wasn't sure but he was so sweet looking and I said Im intereseted let me see him. Oh boy he was happy to see that leash. He couldn't wait to see that gate open he just jump threw a hole of the gate when it was barely opened. So Mo we adopted. An hour later in line outside. I remember i went inside to get drinks and a poor chow or something was just having a time of his life breathing/ in the heat. He was inside hung over....Mo is 11months old, microchipped, uptodate on shots and got him for under 100 dollars.
Well Mo today is doing really well. Updates next tim around, someone previoulsy taught him how to sit and I taught him how to shake paws. I take him to the doggie parks. He has gone 3times. Yesterday he did really good. He loves peoples and other dogs. We learning not to jump on others. And soon we are to get are nails trimmed.
